Brilliant Brunette should not be so quick to criticize. First, Germans especially younger people do say "Ich mag ..." such as "Ich mag Eis." (I like ice cream.). "Eis gefaelt mir" is more formal, but as my German exchange student told me, none of her friends ( probably not even her parents) would use the formal version. Also note it is "defaelt" not "glaubt", which means believe.

I have a masters degree in German and speak the language fluently. This app teaches things that are completely wrong, such as mistaking a verb for a noun. Dont use this app.

There are a few grammatical errors, along with pronunciation errors,but over all its pretty decent for beginners.

It is very wrong a lot like it says that kan ich das badezimmer benutzen is can I go to the bathroom but it is really asking can I go home please. There are a lot more errors than just that too my German teacher at school said that i shouldnt use this app.

The last reviewer is either outright lying, a complete moron, or both. That means, literally, can I use the bathroom.

This app is really helpful. I am trying to learn German, and I have no experience so this is a way to start.

Good App. The vocab is actually sticking but where is the ß. I Know that technically you can use ss but wouldnt using the actual character in the german language be a little more accurate?

You can sit with this thing for hours drilling phrases... I love it! And hearing the pronounciation is agreat help! two thumbs up...

Will definitely buy the apps. Im looking forward to 301!

I took German a couple of years ago and even then the ess-tsett was being worked out of the language for the less beautiful "ss".

This is the best learning tool I have seen yet. I retain more from this than any other.

I got this app about 3 hours ago so I could start learning some basic phrases for an upcoming trip to Germany and it is useless. I couldnt find basic phrases that were truly basic. "Hello", "Goodbye", "Please" and "Thank you" are all missing, and I didnt even bother looking for other phrases Id like to know. Im deleting it as soon as I post this review.

I really like how this app has helped me learn, especially via the "write in" method! Some thoughts: 1. The write in method should not accept non-umlaut characters when the word is spelled with them. For example, the app considers "fur" as a correct answer, when "für" is actually correct. 2. The chime played for correct answers is always at maximum volume. 3. I must learn specific German words for my courses. If this app allowed me to create/upload your own flashcard data, i would gladly pay twice the price of the Vocab & Phrases apps!

His app is only a template for the real app that costs 7.99. Plus many phrases are wrong. Who writes this crap? Doesnt anyone filter or double check that apps are actually accurate.

Flash cards are great, clear speech and over all a great study guide. I gave it a four star because the app should have a word repeat timer on it so you dont have to hit the sound button over and over again.

This is all wrong! Its missing alot of phrases like the formal ways of saying goodbye and please and thank you! Plus the full version is almost 8$! If you went to Germany speaking words only from this app it would make you look very disrespectful!!
